Margate artist Margo takes up Artist in Residence role at No. 42 GuestHouse

There’s a new creative collaboration to discover in Margate.

Local artist Margo of Margate has become the new Artist in Residence at No. 42 GuestHouse, bringing together one of the town’s best-known artists with the boutique hotel overlooking Margate Bay.

To mark the partnership, No. 42 has created a limited-edition cocktail, Kiss Me in Margate. Blending Golden Tidal rum, dry curaçao, cranberry and a house-made raspberry shrub, it’s designed to be enjoyed on the hotel’s rooftop bar while taking in views across Margate’s golden sands.

As an added bonus, anyone who orders a Kiss Me in Margate cocktail will receive 10% off Margo’s artwork, whether purchased online or from her gallery, located just a few doors from the hotel.

The Rooftop Bar at No. 42 is open Monday to Thursday from 4pm and Friday to Sunday from 12 noon, making it an ideal spot for an afternoon drink or sunset cocktail by the sea.

Set in the heart of Margate’s Old Town, No. 42 GuestHouse has transformed a historic seafront building into a stylish boutique hotel, complete with heritage-inspired interiors and the town’s only rooftop bar. The hotel is part of the GuestHouse collection, a group known for breathing new life into historic buildings while championing local artists, makers and independent businesses.

Whether you’re visiting Margate for the day or planning a seaside stay, this new collaboration offers the perfect excuse to enjoy local art with a cocktail in hand.
