Whisky, Vinyl & Watercolours: Pearly Cow Margate Has Autumn Sorted

Pearly Cow Margate is giving us two very good reasons to head to the coast this autumn, with new Whisky & Vinyl Nights and laid-back Seascape Painting sessions overlooking Margate sands.

Autumn in Margate just got a little more interesting.

Pearly Cow Margate, the independent steak and seafood grill in the heart of the coastal town, is launching a new series of monthly events — and they sound rather lovely.

Think an afternoon painting the sea with coffee and cake, or an evening working your way through whisky drams while somebody puts a great record on the decks.

Paint the Margate seascape
First up, Seascape Painting.

With Pearly Cow perfectly positioned overlooking Margate sands, guests can settle in and attempt to capture those brilliant coastal views in watercolour, guided by local artist and art teacher Rebecca Grace Hall.

No artistic credentials required. In fact, no experience is needed at all.

All materials are included, along with a hot drink of your choice and a slice of cake. And, naturally, your masterpiece is yours to take home afterwards.

Sessions take place on Monday 5 October, Monday 9 November and Monday 7 December.

Tickets cost £25 per person, or £12.50 for hotel guests staying at No. 42 Margate.

Whisky. Vinyl. We’re listening.
If paintbrushes aren’t quite your thing, Pearly Cow has another autumn evening up its sleeve.

The restaurant’s new Whisky & Vinyl Nights combine a monthly-changing trio of whisky drams — one Scotch, one Bourbon and one World whisky — with a selection of vinyl and the best records getting their moment on the decks.

There will also be a dedicated whisky bar featuring a curated selection from Pearly Cow’s collection.

Not a whisky drinker? You don’t have to sit sadly in the corner with a glass of tap water. The team can arrange alternative tipples too.

The idea is deliberately relaxed and informal: good whisky, good records and a couple of hours by the Margate coast. We’re rather into it.

Whisky & Vinyl Nights take place on Tuesday 13 October, 17 November and 15 December, from 7pm–9pm. Tickets cost £20 per person.

Both Seascape Painting and Whisky & Vinyl Nights are available to book now at Pearly Cow Margate.
